The Secretary of Health Order:
On Friday, December 10, 2021, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court affirmed the Order of the Commonwealth Court which vacated the Secretary of Health's Order stating students must wear masks in school buildings unless they had an exemption. Now that the mask mandate has been vacated, the C-L School District has reinstated the Health and Safety Plan that was approved by the School Board on July 28, 2021. This plan does NOT mandate face coverings; however, those who choose to wear them are welcome to do so, and their preference will be respected. C-L will continue to practice physical distancing, hand washing etiquette, extra cleaning and ventilation, and contract tracing.
** Students must still continue to wear face coverings on school buses.**
It is required by the Secretary of Health's order that students wear masks in school buildings unless there is an exemption. If you have not completed our link to declare if your child has an exemption or not, please do so ASAP.
Dear Parents/Guardians:
The School Board approved the Health & Safety Plan for our district for the 2021-2022 school year. I have attached it as well as a simpler document that summarizes the main points to be communicated. Our goal is to return to normal, in-person learning following mandates. You will be receiving more information in August about class assignments and class schedules along with other pertinent information. For now, please review the documents attached. The first day of school for students is Wednesday, August 25th. Enjoy August and be safe!
Mrs. Amy J. Glasl, Superintendent
